Patinated bronze vase with a motif of two dragons chasing a pearl. One of the dragons supports the base of the vase while the other swirls around the vase. The vase has an openwork foot with a wave pattern and a wide spout. The attributes of the Japanese dragon or ryū are water, sea, air and clouds, and it is a positive symbol associated with good powers.
