Betel mortar collected from the northern coast of Papua New Guinea. Elderly and toothless people used this type of mortar to crush betel nuts (also called areca nuts) before chewing them. Presence of two stylized faces throughout. 11 x 6 x 4 cm / €220 including shipping costs.
