"Adoring Burmese 18th Century"
Adorant in papier maché, lacquered and gilded. Myanmar (Burma), Shan, 18th century. Although it has several cracks, the aesthetic integrity of the work is almost perfect. These are cracks or cracks but not regluing. The neck has a significant crack but it does not continue on the neck. No part presents any play and when you take the worshiper in hand, “the hold” is completely firm, solid. Provenance: Estate of the art dealer and collector Claude de Marteau.
