"Sculpture, Workshop Plaster By Mario Korbel Circa 1920"
Portrait of a woman in plaster by the sculptor Mario Korbel around 1920. The sculpture is not signed, some small losses but good general condition and beautiful patina. The sculpture can be seen at our gallery in Paris .Born in Osik (Czechoslovakia) in 1882, he studied sculpture in his native country before going to the USA at the age of 18 where he spent most of his career. A large number of his sculptures can be found in public places and American museums. He was a member of the National Sculpture Society and the National Academy of Design. He died in 1954 in New York.
