Karel De Posson, 1889-1960, Belgian marine painter, landscapes, city views, still lifes and portraits. He was a student of Frans Mortelmans and Jan Willem Rosier at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, his hometown.

His work is purified while letting the light shine through and evokes a certain romanticism imbued with melancholy.
