Chess game with its board 1st half of the 20th century from West Africa. The pieces are in natural and black tinted ivory. The worn black patina shows that this game has been used a lot and gives it a lot of charm. Some defects: missing 2 pimples on a black tower, a shortened horn of a black horse, 3 pimples on a white tower and 1 on the other, a leg of a white horse glued back on. King (man smoking a pipe): 10 cm. Queen (woman in loincloth with bare breasts): 10 cm. Fou (drum player): 8.5 cm. Horse (gazelle): 10 cm. Circumference: 7.5 cm. Pawn (square): 3 cm. The tray is entirely in ivory: 42.5 x 42.5 cm
