"Brass Religious Frame Pushed Back The Washing Of The Feet By Christ 19th Century"
Here is a pretty embossed brass frame welcoming in its center a religious scene representing the washing of the feet by Christ, the whole is placed on red velvet. Foot washing became a tradition in Europe and the East, a ritual ceremony practiced on Maundy Thursday, before the Last Supper, during the Easter Triduum. We note that the velvet is slightly damaged, note a little verdigris in places, a slightly deformed angle, the cardboard plate on the back was probably added later. Everything remains in a presentable and acceptable general condition. Our photos allow you to appreciate the quality of the object. For the condition, please detail the photos. Feel free to zoom in.
