Our Nativity is an oil on copper from a 17th century French school, in an elegant wooden and gilded stucco frame with floral and foliage garlands. An angel delivers a divine message with his phylactery, “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” he seems to be telling us. He thus brings blessing to the Child lying in his manger.
