"Early 19th Century Openable Empire Column "
Elegant circular column on a square plinth. The column is entirely veneered in walnut, with the top in yellow Siena marble and the edge in green Prato marble. The piece of furniture has both the function of supporting an object or a lamp and as a bedside table, being openable via a door. The simplicity of the neoclassical forms and the use of materials date this piece of furniture to the early 19th century of Tuscan manufacture.
