Wax case in solid 18-carat gold (in so-called Trois Ors colors) finely chiseled decorated with beautiful floral garlands surrounding flowered baskets and baluster vases, stylized plant friezes on the border, title hallmark at Le Coq*, late period 18th-early 19th centuries. Weight 30.94 grams. This case is in good condition, superb quality of carving. It is hallmarked see photos. *The hallmarks are a little worn: the title hallmark is very likely the “Coq à Droite” hallmark (pecking) solid gold of 3rd grade at 750 thousandths or 18 carats from 1798 to 1809 / Front face (1798-1809) + Mr. Crowned.
