In 1962, Yves Klein acquired casts of this emblematic sculpture of Greek antiquity and revealed, thanks to the IKB blue developer, the effervescent sensitivity of its flesh... Lalique is a French luxury company founded by the master glassmaker and French jewelry designer, René Lalique, in 1888. It manufactures and distributes pieces (vase, sculpture, bottle, etc.) in different fields: decorative objects, interior architecture, jewelry, perfumes and pieces of art. The Lalique house is famous for its emblematic vases handmade in the factory in Wingen-sur-Moder (Alsace, France), opened by René Lalique in 1921. Over the years and still to this day, Lalique collaborates with several brands luxury goods or artists and creators, in order to create unique pieces or limited editions, such as the world-famous architect Zaha Hadid, Bentley Motors, The Macallan whiskey, Hardy cognac, Caran d'Ache, Tom Ford, Nina Ricci , THG, etc. The pieces are sought after by collectors and can fetch record prices. On January 18, 2014, The Macallan, a 6 liter bottle of whiskey made by Lalique was sold by Sotheby's Hong Kong in an auction for the record price of $628,000.
