"Oil On Impressionist Canvas Framed "animated Street, The Exit Of The Church", Northern School 19th"
This pretty impressionist painting is very decorative in its large frame with gilded moldings (mounted with bars), a beautiful work animated with characters in a street in the north of France bustling at the exit of the Church. Remarkably carried out with great speed, nothing is missing, the work on the walls and stone buttresses of the Church, the red brick house opposite, the street which stretches in front of the square and the characters and those who move away along a large wall like those of the house and those on the side of the square including the gentleman with the csaquette leaning on his cane who watches the ladies pass, one of whom is followed by a child, the house facing the church with raking light illuminating the windows is itself animated by its occupants the hazy blue sky sets the tone and the play of light both on the architecture and on the floors gives life to this beautiful, skillful painting from the end of the 19th century on a canvas mounted on strong cardboard. A beautiful painting in warm tones where the eye gets lost and interprets what it wants to see like any good Impressionist painting. All in good condition with its slight parine
