"Madonna, 16th Century"
A beautifully executed depiction of Mary with her Child. Jesus flips through the book looking directly at the viewer. The Madonna looks dreamily in front of her. The statue is made of oak with great detail and shows traces of polychromy. Maria is missing her right arm. An old collector's sticker is still visible on the back. Southern Netherlands, late 16th century. Height without base; 25cm
