""jack Knife" Folding Pocket Knife, 1943, Ww2, English Army, Sheffield."
Folding and multi-purpose pocket knife, used in the English army and the Navy during the Second World War, and popularly named "Jack Knife". It is marked on a blade: 1943, RICHARDS, SHEFFIELD, with an arrow ("arrow" in English, and here synonymous with military order), these orders were at that time, placed with the Sheffield workshops, renowned for the quality of their steel production. Versatile, this light knife included a splicer, a knife blade, and a can, can and bottle opener blade... for a weight of 148 grams. Handle apparently covered in black horn (not sure..., synthetic materials already had a place...), but it has two small slits and a slight loss (see photos), which raises the question... Good condition from use, the blade of the knife seems to have been widely used and sharpened..., which speaks for its quality and effectiveness!... Length between 10 and 22 cm
