Very elegant and decorative carved and gilded wood confidant with gold leaf, the seat in two parts covered with a beautiful floral motif fabric, separated by a central carved and gilded wood backrest with a highly effective confronting griffin motif. The whole rests on four tapered fluted legs terminating in castors.
Fine Napoleon III period work circa 1850-1870.
