The Two Friends

Charming watercolor from the beginning of the 20th century, representing two elegant friends chatting during a tourist walk. The light costumes and the building evoke Italy or the South. The serene atmosphere is very finely rendered. The PC monogram, the workmanship, as well as the delicate palette, make it possible to give back to Paul Chabas, a known symbolist painter of this period, which in a few strokes creates a sensitive evocation of a peaceful moment. Contemporary framing, but for an additional 80 euros, I can place this pretty 1900 frame offered in the last photo.
