Oil on canvas, signed lower left. Dimensions without frame 54 x 65 cm, with frame 71 x 82 cm.Emmanuel Marcel-Laurent (1892-1948). Painter and watercolorist of landscapes and seascapes, he is particularly attracted by the Breton coastline. He was part of the “Concarneau group” before being named official painter of the Navy in 1942. His works are present at the maritime museum in Paris as well as in Brest.
