"Pair Of Large Louis XVI Style Shepherdesses, Lacquered Wood, Early 19th Century"
Pair of large Louis XVI style armchairs in lacquered wood, from the very beginning of the 19th century. These shepherdesses are painted in green-gray tones. This is their original paint, the latter therefore shows traces of wear and use revealing the wood in places, thus giving a limed and romantic effect to the whole. The woodwork is in good condition and very stable. Only a few small gaps should be noted (in particular at the back of one of the armchairs, small restoration - see photo 10) These seats are very enveloping, comfortable and well upholstered. Raspberry-colored velvet covering fabric.
