"Magic Lantern Clock Circa 1850 "
Very rare and beautiful clock in regula and alabaster. Cherubs look into an optical box, topped with a chimney identical to those of magic lanterns. It was common in the 18th and 19th centuries to confuse and mix the two objects. Original golden patina, slightly worn. Missing a needle and a wing from one of the cherubs Size: 38 x 35 cm
