According to the Archives Nationales, Henri Picard was established at “6 rue Jarente” from 1831 to 1839, then at “10 rue de la Perle” from 1840 to 186. A prestigious 19th-century bronzemaker, he was renowned for casting and gilding high-quality decorative objects. He collaborated with designers such as Charles Perrault and Grault. He received commissions from important patrons, including Napoleon III, for whom he supplied decorative objects for his small apartments in the Louvre. He was known for the quality of his production of tableware and mantelpieces, in particular the combination of gilded and silvered bronze.
