"Belgian Cuirassier Helmet Model 1830"

Belgian model 1830 troop cuirassier helmet.

Bomb in sheet steel, brass crest, headband, visor and neck cover covered in leather. A white metal breastplate bearing the number 1 is attached to the crest mask; leather interior, chinstraps missing (modeled on the 8-ring chinstraps of French helmets), corroded bomb to be cleaned, otherwise good condition.

Dated on the bomb 1839.
