"Snow By Adolphe Rey Ecole De Murols (1863-1964) "
Born in Château Villain in Isère. Childhood friend of Victor Charreton who brought him to Murol between 1915 and 1918 and encouraged him in his work. Best known for his watercolors, his oil paintings are much less common. Energetic touch and liveliness of colors magnify his Auvergne or Dauphinois snow landscapes. Rare on the market. An exhibition was dedicated to him in 2018 at the Museum of Painters of the School of Murols. Oil on cardboard signed lower right.
