"Portico Clock From The Louis XVI Period."
Portico clock from the Louis XVI period. French work circa 1760.
The clock takes the shape of two black marble columns surmounted by a pediment in the center of which is the mechanism.
At the top a bouquet of flowers.
In the center of the columns is a promontory on which is placed a cushion from which two doves face each other. The clock is decorated with scrolls, garlands and acanthus leaves.
The white marble base is surrounded by openwork bronze cartouches.
It rests on four bronze pins.
Dimensions 45 x 27 x 11 cm
Missing the key, the pendulum and the bell.
Mechanism to be revised.
