This Tachi blade was forged by Masamitsu, one of the most famous blacksmiths of the Showa era (1926 -1989). The blade is very well preserved, with no particular forging defects, but with some small stains and micro-scratches.
The blade is relatively heavy, weighing 945 grams and is a strong and dynamic piece of work. The Kohirae is made up of a modern Saya and a modern Tsuka. The Tsuba is very old and signed, 友光 Tomomitsu.
