Delicate watercolor from the last quarter of the 19th century representing a Scottish lake landscape (perhaps) signed lower left Pedder 1886. John Pedder is an artist referenced as a painter of figures, animated landscapes, landscapes and watercolorist. He was born in 1850 in Liverpool and died in 1929. 19th 20th centuries. He was a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Color. He exhibited in London, notably at the Royal Academy, Suffolk Street and, from 1875, at the Royal Institute. His works can be seen in museums in Liverpool, Melbourne and Norwich. the watercolor is in very good condition in a gilded wooden frame. Some small losses (scratches) to the gilding of the frame.
