"Louis XV Console In Golden Wood "
Beautiful Louis XV console in gilded wood resting on two nicely curved legs joined at the bottom by a spacer decorated with an openwork foliage pattern. The feet are carved with acanthus leaves and garlands of bells. The openwork belt is also carved with acanthus leaves and sculpted garlands, already announcing a Louis XVI decorative vocabulary. Gilding formerly restored. A beautiful royal red marble with corbin beak and pinched corners completes the whole. The original rear crosspiece has notches that were used to secure the console against a wall.
