"Louis XVI Money Holder 18th Century Period"
Charming embroidered silk billfold or purse from the late 18th century. Opening onto two flap pockets, one of which has its original lock and key. The key operates the lock which is a little capricious but has the merit of existing, so it must be used carefully and rarely as much as possible. I took two photos where you can see the lock pick open or closed. Beige silk background embroidered with bobbins, sequins, multicolored foil decorated with friezes, flowers, medallion bows etc. Salmon-colored silk interior. Scattered wear, some stains especially on the exterior parts. A very fragile object but still well preserved. Note: a rarer lock model. Delivery: €10 for mainland France.
