JAPAN 19th century, lacquered polylobed dish. Decorated in Hiramaki-e and Takamaki-e with birds ,surrounded by a Greek frieze, the border enhanced with geometric motifs, on a base. Typical dish of objects manufactured for export to the West at the end of the 19th century. Small lack of gilding and lifting as in the photos.Diameter 28 cm
