Our splendid Oriental represents a rare model of the polychrome terracotta art sculptures which have made the reputation of the Viennese factory. They owe their international success to their extremely fine realism and their attractive natural polychromy.
After Vienna, Fr. Goldscheider founded branches in Germany, in Paris in 1892, in England and as far as the United States.
Our beautiful Oriental dates from -1890. It is in excellent condition . Some tiny gaps in color to note On a golden terracotta plaque at the foot of the base it is signed "Fr. Goldscheider - Wien"
