"Pair Of Young Ladies From Avignon"
These ewers, present in the south of France, were manufactured in Canakkalé, a small port located on the Dardanelles Strait. In the 19th century, Marseille shipowners filled their boats with French products which they exported to Turkey and returned loaded with Ottoman ceramics. These pieces, which can be found in different colors, green, brown, yellow, were resold at the fairs and markets of Marseille, Beaucaire and Avignon. Good condition with small enamel losses due to use. Height of 36.5 cms for one and 39.5 cms for the other.
