Piece in very good condition, velvet, impeccable edges and fringes, very solid carpet.
Our model presents a floral medallion with four large petals in a cruciferous shape, followed by two small red geometric pendants, placed on a Herati motif. The colors, silky red, pale blue, midnight blue, pink, brick red, and ivory, look great.
The beautifully designed border consists of stylized flowers, daisies and carnations, followed by a maze of lines.
These rugs are knotted in strong, thick, shiny thread, at the time, always dyed with natural dyes and of course spun by hand.
This yarn gives a durable surface and a beautiful color palette.
What they have in common (Hamadan rugs) is that they are woven with cotton warp threads and a weft thread between each row of knots.
The patterns are often geometric, but there are also very elaborate floral patterns. ## Newer rugs, post-1980, are often made of synthetic colors and lower quality wool than older rugs.
Generally speaking, we can say that Malayer rugs are very good rugs for everyday use.
The family of Hamadan rugs includes the following types: Bortchalou, Enjilas, Hosseinabad, Lilihan, Khamse, Zanjan and Malayer, models that we present on our Proantic gallery.
These rugs are therefore also sometimes sold under the general name of hamadan.
A production of carpets which encompass these numerous villages mentioned above.
This quality piece has been professionally and ecologically cleaned.
