" Beautiful Flemish School From The End Of The 17th Century "village Dance" Oil On Panel Framed"
Rare beautiful Flemish painting representing a lively Cabaret Scene or musicians, dancers and customers gathered in a joyful festive atmosphere where the dynamic dancers set the tone. This healthy panel is finely painted with a balance of a rich material (the normal cracks for a painting from the end of the 17th century attest to this). This Work of beautiful contrasting interior light while an open window allows a glimpse of a landscape of the end of the day in nature, below a cartridge dates the Work 1640, this has the merit of being clear and reinforces my expertise. I love the gallant scene of a villager who pursues a woman who seems to interest him. A small dog in the foreground standing marks the profile pose. The details are there and the address of the affirmed painter from the middle of the 17th century, an accomplished and very pleasant painting (entourage of Teniers the Elder who died in 1649...or of himself or his son?. A quality painting dated but where I saw no signature Bears a number;
