Pedestal table richly inlaid with bouquets, flowered vases, foliage, shells animated with birds on an ebony background and enhanced with mother-of-pearl and bone; the tilting octagonal tray rests on a baluster shaft, leaning on a molded base, supported by chiseled and gilded cast iron turtles. Attributed to the brothers Luigi and Angelo FALCINI. Beautiful Florentine work from the mid-19th century. Provenance: estate of Count Louis de Gontaut-Biron H: 80 cm – D: 82 cm
