"18th Century Pipe Iron. “cigar” Iron."
Piped or gadrooned iron from the 18th century. This type of iron spelled "The Cigar": Is a hollow brass cylinder on a stand, one side of which is open and into which an equally cylindrical ingot, previously heated, is introduced. The iron is fixed on its foot it is the fabric which is moved on the brass part for the gadrooning, notably for the lace, the rubens and the headdresses. Good condition, with traces of use. I point out a wooden handle from after the 18th century. Photo documentation No. 7.
