Silver reliquary from the 18th Century containing the First Class Holy relic (Bone - Ex Ossibus) of:Saint St Francis of Paola
He was an Italian Catholic friar and the founder of the Order of Minims. Unlike the majority of founders of men's religious orders, and like his patron saint Francis of Assisi, he was never ordained a priest.
The reliquary comes with its original episcopal Wax Seal and threads intact at the back.
Reliquary description
Reliquary made of silver from the XVIII Century. Safely kept under a glass we can see the relic with its name resting on a silk background, decorated with beautiful paperolle motifs and surrounded by a silver bullion thread.
At the back of the reliquary, we find the Cardinal’s wax seal holding the red silk threads and ensuring its authenticity.
Condition
Great condition. No missing parts. The threads and wax seal are intact. Beautiful patina.
