Pewter Wine Pitcher - Mantes, 18th Century

PICHET with pewter shoulder, oblique plinth foot, straight heel cup and S-shaped thumb with molded crest.
Control mark: C crowned / MANTE / 17(17).
Hallmark of Pierre DELAVIGNE received master in 1715: crowned hammer / PDL / P (The second P for PONTOISE)
Height: 26.9 cm.
MANTES, Between 1717 and 1732

The P at the bottom of his hallmark means Pontoise where this master settled from 1717 to 1727 when he returned to Mantes. It therefore does not seem to have changed its mark following its reinstallation in Mantes.
Let us recall in passing that these pitchers were the wine measures of the Ancien Régime.
Very good condition.
