A stunning 19th century large French mirror with hand-carved and gold-leaf gilded wood frame, featuring an arched and pierced coping with deep scrolling and vegetal carving. Good condition, it comes from an antique palazzo of Milan downtown. This antique shaped grand mirror can lean against a wall. 206 cm high, the perfect size for a salon, a showroom or an atelier.

Ornate Louis Philippe style hand-carved floral and leaf detail with beaded elements. 
The details around the frame are exquisite, especially on the top with scrolls and vegetal decorations. There’s beadwork all around the inside of the frame and a very detailed geometrical pattern running all over the front of the frame. The back of this mirror is original Cembran pine wood, whereas the coping is lime wood. This very impressive mirror is French and dates to around the 1870’s . The gilding is in original condition and shows minor professional old restorations.
Good age related condition, the carving shows just one minor loss, the tip of a leaf.
