Large painting "Two setters with their trophy in a landscape" by the famous Belgian animal painter Henry Schouten

Henry Schouten was born in Indonesia in 1857 and studied at the Brussels Academy from 1876 to 1881. A year later, he began to exhibit at Brussels with the Union of Arts. An expert animal painter, he generally chooses to represent animals in their home or in their daily environment and acting in a very natural way.

The oil on canvas measures approx. 90 by 60.5 cm and with frame ca. 120 by 90 cm.
