Portrait Of Lady Att. To Henri Or Charles Beaubrun flag

Object description :

"Portrait Of Lady Att. To Henri Or Charles Beaubrun"
Precious oil on canvas portrait of a great lady from the beginning of the reign of Louis XIV, attributed to the portrait painters of King Charles and Henri BEAUBRUN. These two cousin artists are inseparably associated in the production of portraits of great refinement, similar to the one we are offering. In an oval format, the model poses in three-quarter view, wearing a silver dress adorned with pearls and tied around a magnificent brooch. Her characteristic hairstyle of the time is also decorated with pearl, as is her necklace. The work is presented in its period frame in carved and gilded wood (a flower is missing at the top). Beautiful state of conservation. Total dimensions 58 x 50 cm, and 46.5 x 38.5 cm for the canvas alone.
