"Netsuke - Skeleton And Sotoba - Wood"
Wooden katabori netsuke representing a standing skeleton, knees slightly bent, its arms holding a sotoba (long, thin wooden board erected in honor of a deceased person). A second sotoba also reaches up to the skeleton's knee.Japan, 18th century.
Good condition, beautiful patina.
