"Luigi Mascheroni's Lombard Inlaid Panel"
Lombard inlaid panel, in Neoclassical style, from the early 19th century, depicting the adoration of the Magi. At the bottom left is signed L. M. F., which means Luigi Mascheroni Fecit. Luigi Mascheroni is an important inlayer from the early nineteenth century, from the Lombardy area. In addition to inlaying furniture, he also created these decorative panels to hang.
