Charming little 19th century painting painted on mahogany panel with beveled edges, in a Napoleon III frame in used condition. A small, beautifully crafted oil painting depicting a beautiful lively scene on Tréport beach; a half-reclined man seems to be courting an elegant beauty.
In the background two other groups of characters on either side are enjoying the sun; in the distance with our feet in the water we can see a large group of bathers very subtly well represented by the painter.
