Vintage Italian design desk created in 1957 by Gianfranco Frattini and manufactured by the Bernini workshops, of Milan, Italy in the 1960s. This model was in the catalog of this manufacturer renowned for the quality of its cabinetmaking under number 530. Our desk is with two drawers and two open compartments on the front, and two storage spaces on the rear, it is completed with a removable shelf placed on the top with two drawers and two storage spaces. The very original base is in the shape of an inverted T sled. There were several variations of this piece of furniture in the Bernini catalog. The original manufacturer's brand sticker appears on the inside of two drawers. The two side drawers of the desk section have a lock, these are no longer functional and the key is missing. Very aesthetic with its airy design, this desk is multi-use, it can be placed against a wall or used in the middle of a room because it is finished on all sides. This pretty piece of furniture is made of rosewood cabinetry, it has a beautiful original patina, and has benefited from polishing, it is in very good condition and shows some wear from time, small scratches and a trace of burns on one side of the plateau should be noted.
