"Convexe Mirror On Stand"
[France], 19th century, Turned mahogany wood, brass. Convex spherical mirror, articulated and mounted on a stand, completely removable.This type of mirror was used during the 19th century in physics offices to study the laws of light reflection. The height is adjusted by a wooden screw on the foot, the inclination of the mirror by two brass screws.
Beautiful model in good condition, bears inscriptions on its base including a crossed out inscription: the initials LA and the n° 185 and the n° 221532, traces of old labels on the base and the foot.
