Naked man portrait painting Patrick Boudon 1944 -2019 Expressionism, Abstract Patrick BOUDON, born in 1944 in Florac in Lozère. In 1962, he joined the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris from which he graduated in 1965. In 1963, he exhibited for the first time at Raymond DUNCAN in Paris. Numerous exhibitions followed in various salons and galleries around the world, such as in 1968 at the Mafalda Davis Gallery in New York or the Salsomaggiore Gallery in Italy; in 1982, he exhibited at the Fiera de Santana museum in Brazil,.... In the 1970s, he embarked on a major project by purchasing a building that he called the GAMP (Galeries - Ateliers Modernes de Paris) and where artists of all kinds rub shoulders and work. A very colorful abstract painter at the start of his career, his meeting with Picasso marked the beginning of the influence of figuration in his work. His works result in figures with disproportionate heads and hands, as well as obsessively repeated motifs. A large part of his work was destroyed when his studio burned down. He died in Montmartre, Paris in 2019.
