Rare silver denarius of the Eravisci people / Eravisci Celts of the Danube Obverse: Juno Sospita on the right, wearing goat skin. Reverse: Rudder, globe and winged thunderbolt. Below, RAVIS (S retrogr.). Allen, BMC, 269; coll. Lanz 1015; Freeman 8/C. 3.41g (heavy copy) 17mm Imitation of the denarii of L. Procilius (Crawford 379/2) and L. Papius (Crawford 384/1) for the right, of C. Cornelius Lentulus (Crawford 393/1) and of T . Carisius (Crawford 464/3) for the reverse. The Eravisci are a tribe living on the east bank of the Danube, near Budapest, in the 1st century BC.
