He then continued his studies in Paris thanks to a scholarship from the Diputación Provincial de Madrid. In the French capital, he shared a workshop with Luis Lafuente and frequented the workshop of Vicente Palmaroli. Returning to Spain in 1883, he received another scholarship from the Diputación, this time to continue his training in Rome. He stood out in the official competitions of the time, both national and provincial, and obtained the second medal at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts of 1887. In 1896, he entered the competitions to obtain a chair at the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona and was finally named full professor in 1902. In 1907, shortly after his death, the Círculo de Bellas Artes dedicated a tribute exhibition to him. Alcázar Tejedor is currently represented at the Museo del Prado, as well as in other public and private collections.
