Object description :

"“corrida Scene” Toutain Jean-louis (1948 - 2008)"
Jean-Louis Toutain is a French sculptor, born in Toulouse in 1948. Since his early childhood Jean-Louis has loved contact with materials and rethinking the world. After having followed the Fine Arts courses Jean-Louis oriented himself and practiced in several artistic practices but he did not seem to really find his way. It was only in 1987 that he decided to devote himself solely to sculpture. He takes big names as his reference artists, such as Niki de Saint-Phalle and Fernando Botero, whose creations inspire him on a daily basis. The work of Jean-Louis takes simple motifs in order to be able to address and reach the widest possible audience. The sculptor, not pretentious, is in the image of his creations, all rounded, humble and easy to access, for children and adults alike. The work of Jean-Louis Toutain is presented in numerous exhibitions, personal and collective, in different French art galleries, the artist has also won numerous awards during his long career. Jean-Louis Toutain died in 2008. Oil on canvas signed lower right and countersigned twice on the back. Format: 60 x 60 cm With frame: 61.5 x 61.5 cm
