"Napoleon III Jewelry Box"
This jewelry box or casket is in cedar burl marquetry and wooden fillet, it is from the Napoleon III period. It has a curved shape reminiscent of an 18th century Italian or Dutch chest of drawers. It opens onto three compartments, two of which pivot, the whole is padded and lined with pink fabric. Note two small restorations on the upper central part at the level of the threads.
