Oil On Framed Canvas
We present for sale this quite large framed oil on canvas (beautifully framed), look at the quality of the frame. This oil on canvas we attribute to Victor Dupré exactly Léon Victor DUPRE 1816/1879. We cannot detect the signature, given the quality of this painting, it is impossible for us that it is not his. He is one of the notorious members of the Barbizon school. Some pieces were affixed to the back of the canvas, not because there were holes but everywhere where we felt that the canvas was fragile and I wanted to avoid relining but maybe I was wrong? A painting of this quality in the 70s/80s could be worth much more than 50,000 Frs or 7500 Euros. (E24)
